LEED In The Washroom

Sustainability Approvals

Research conducted by the Architect's Journal uncovered that LEED has now overtaken BREEAM as the principal green building standard, globally except for the United Kingdom.

Developed by the USGBC, LEED is an  internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings, in which points are awarded in four areas, including water efficiency.

The washroom is a key area in which LEED points can be awarded, offering a huge opportunity for water efficiency savings.  The table below details several ways in which this can be achieved, and how many points can be awarded.

Flush Valves - L = Litres Per Flush

Sensor Tap and Showers - L = Litres Per Minute

Lovair's flush valves and sensor faucets all exceed the standards above, please  get in touch for any information you require.
