Auckland Airport

Project Overview

Auckland Airport is the major connection between the world and “the land of the long white cloud”. It is where New Zealand touches the world - welcoming visitors and farewelling friends. Over 70 per cent of visitors enter or leave New Zealand via Auckland Airport, which handles over 17 million passengers a year. More than 20 international airlines serve Auckland Airport, Australasia’s third busiest international airport, after Sydney. As New Zealand's major transport hub, Auckland Airport is investing in an airport and traveler experience that all New Zealanders can be proud of.

Working together with leading architects Gensler, our goal was to overcome the age old problem in high traffic restrooms of soap run out and the significant amount of hours spent refilling and maintaining standard systems. Being very aware of the provision of soap being critical to a good handwashing process the airport were looking for ways to ensure this provision was always available with a system that would be durable in very high traffic restrooms.

The elegant yet extremely durable stainless steel L-465 soap dispenser was installed to meet the aesthetic standards of the project complete with our automatic foam soap system. The soap system saves over 70% in cost and time when compared to standard liquid systems due to its central reservoir design. The use of bulk fill foam ensures a very enjoyable user experience with cost saving benefits to the client. The automatic system is easy to install, provides ergonomic refilling benefits for the cleaners and really does help to ensure that never again does soap need to run out.
